I am thankful to have been in her class the first time around, because I do believe she laid the best foundation for my nursing education.
Beth Hultquist truly and undoubtedly cares for her students. In my nearly twenty years of education, I have never had a teacher or professor care for me as a student, a nurse, and a human like Beth has. Beth brings to the table a wonderful mix of smartness and wittiness that every student needs, while also bringing a level of empathy and compassion to us Fastbacc students. This was exemplified to me when I was in the hospital.
She was quick to take care of me from a distance by sending other faculty to come visit me when she couldn't. Then, after clearing her schedule, she sat with me in the hospital and truly took care of me. She provided my parents with a sense of peace and relief during this time; that I was going to be ok physically, but also as a student in a rigorous program.
I have never been more proud to be a student of hers and truly am thankful for the education I have received from her. I am thankful not only to have been a student of hers in one class, but in two. Looking back, I am thankful to have been in her class the first time around, because I do believe she laid the best foundation for my nursing education.
I am thankful she taught my last class in nursing school, because I believe she set me up for success in taking the NCLEX. I believe Beth would be an outstanding DAISY recipient because of these reasons, but not only that, I do believe Beth Hultquist is one of the best things to ever happen to LHSON. I am forever grateful for the professor she has been to me, but now, the friend she is to me as well.
