I had to undergo emergency surgery, and I was completely alone in pre-op. No family, no partner, no hand to hold. I felt vulnerable, anxious, and scared of what was coming, not just with the procedure itself, but the emotional weight of going through it solo.

I was introduced to Victoria as my pre-op nurse. From the very first moment, she brought such peace and kindness into the room. She didn't just check boxes or go through the motions; she saw me. She spoke to me like a friend. She made eye contact, held space for my fear, and somehow turned that cold hospital room into a place where I felt safe.

We talked about Jesus together, and that brief, faith-filled exchange reminded me that even though I felt alone, I truly wasn't. She was the hands and heart of Christ in that moment. She comforted me like someone who had been placed there on purpose, and I believe she was. Because of her, I didn't feel alone anymore, and that is something I will never forget.
