Maggie will always stand out as someone truly special.
From the moment I met Maggie, she was incredibly uplifting, empowering, and reassuring. I was being induced as a first-time mom, which comes with many doubts, fears, and concerns. She quelled all of my worries and made every experience into the best possible version of itself.

When it came time to push, I did not have the ability to wait for a practitioner. For the majority of my labor, it was Maggie who guided me. She provided reassurance and encouragement. When my baby was born, she was there, helping both of us adapt. When I needed stitches, she stayed with me. She initiated skin-to-skin and breastfeeding.

When I was ready, she walked me to the shower in my most vulnerable state. She helped me dress myself, not complaining as she worked to figure out my complex robe. She helped me apply deodorant and feel myself again. When it was time for me to leave, I felt genuine sadness as I was leaving someone who brought such warmth and comfort to the most difficult, vulnerable, and painful experience.

Now, I cannot stop singing the praises of her and the whole team of the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units. I did not have a single bad experience with any staff person; in fact, they were all excellent. Maggie will always stand out as someone truly special.
