Rose, most recently, noticed a change in her patient's EKG rhythm on the monitor and alerted the anesthesiologist and care team. As a result, the patient received a comprehensive cardiac workup and treatment.

This, however, is not the first time this nurse has used her critical thinking skills in performing her nursing duties at this hospital. Rose delayed the patient's surgery and alerted the surgeon that her patient had a low platelet count, subsequently the patient had to receive a transfusion of platelets prior to surgery.

On another occasion, Rose noted that a patient had an incorrect patient ID band on and had registration make a change prior to the patient going to the OR. The care provided by Rose Cadet is an example of a nurse that we treasure in this Cleveland Clinic family.

Her daily care is consistently safe, efficient, and outstanding. Rose is attentive to detail, and she "stops the line for patient safety." She has received numerous caregiver awards from co-workers and patients.
