During the birth of my daughter, Rachel was the nurse who made a difference I will never forget. From the beginning of my induction through the moment my daughter was born, she provided exceptional care that made me feel supported, safe, and truly respected.

Rachel supported me as I labored unmedicated through most of my induction, encouraging me and believing in my strength every step of the way. When I reached a point where I decided to receive the epidural, she fully supported my decision without hesitation or judgment. She took the time to explain what to expect, reassured me that I was doing what was best for myself and my baby, and helped me feel confident in my choice. She was prompt and never hesitated whenever I asked for something.

Throughout her shift, Rachel consistently checked on me without ever being asked. Her presence was constant and comforting, and she always seemed to know exactly when I needed reassurance, guidance, or simply a calm voice. She truly listened to my concerns and made sure my physical and emotional needs were met at all times.

When it was time to push, Rachel guided me through each step, continuously reassuring me. Her confidence and calm demeanor helped me stay focused and made me feel safe during such an intense and vulnerable moment.

Rachel also left a lasting impact on my family, creating a welcoming and judgment-free environment. Most importantly, she treated all of us with genuine kindness and respect, especially making me feel like more than just a patient. She made me feel truly cared for as a person.

Because of Rachel, my birth experience was empowering and positive. I will always remember the compassion, skill, and dedication she showed while helping me bring my daughter into the world. She is an exceptional nurse and is more than deserving of the DAISY Award.
