Maria went above and beyond for her patient. She truly lived out the "Love Me" principle Advent expects of us. When her patient said her dog had been at home for three days without food and with no one to look after it, Maria called animal services to have someone check on the dog. While most didn't believe the patient because she was confused, I'm happy Maria did. Animal services did find a dog and were able to take it and care for it.

I hope we can always be as compassionate as Maria was in that moment. I am proud to work alongside her.
