I would like to recognize Nurse Jenny for her extraordinary compassion, dedication, and kindness during my husband’s hospital stays. From the moment Jenny began caring for him, it was clear how special she is. We were incredibly lucky to have her not once, but twice—by pure chance—during his hospitalizations. Each time, her presence immediately brought comfort and reassurance.

We were truly happy and confident knowing that he was in her care. He would even call me each morning to tell me, “Jenny is our nurse today!” We would immediately sigh a breath of relief and feel a sense of ease—at times when there truly was no ease to be found, given the severity of his illness. Knowing Jenny would be there made all the difference for both of us.

Jenny treated him not just as a patient, but as a person. She was consistently kind, attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in his comfort and well-being. During one of the most painful and overwhelming times of my life, Jenny was a steady source of comfort and light. We truly looked forward to our days with Jenny. We were confident that she was a strong advocate for us and a powerful, steady force in his care. She made sure his needs were heard, respected, and prioritized, and she never stopped fighting for what was best for him.

I will always remember her laugh, her wonderful sense of humor, and her incredible grace—especially on the days when she had to work around me while I lay in bed with my husband. She never made me feel like I was in the way. Instead, she met every moment with warmth, understanding, and kindness. That meant more to me than I can ever fully express.

Although he passed away in the hospital last year, I know that he would want Jenny to have the recognition she deserves for going above and beyond for our family. It brings me comfort to honor her in his memory.

It is hard to put into words how much Jenny meant to us. She truly was the best part of his hospital experience. Her compassion, patience, and dedication made a lasting impact on both of us. Her presence brought peace and reassurance when we needed it most.

I cannot think of a nurse more deserving of recognition. Jenny did her job with such ease and selflessness during a time when nursing is anything but easy. She represents everything the DAISY Award stands for: extraordinary clinical skill, deep compassion, and genuine humanity.

I am forever grateful for the way she cared for my husband—and for me—and I cannot think of anyone more deserving of this honor.
