From the moment Kerrie came into my room, she made me feel completely at ease during an incredibly painful and overwhelming ER visit related to my chronic illness. Despite how uncomfortable I was, she brought such a calming and positive energy that immediately helped put me at ease.

She placed my IV so smoothly that I didn’t even realize it had been done, which is truly remarkable, as my veins are notoriously difficult. Throughout everything, she kept me smiling by cracking jokes and finding ways to make me laugh, even when I was in significant pain.

She consistently checked on me, made sure I was comfortable, and took the time to carefully explain each step of my procedure when she noticed how nervous I was. Because of her clear explanations and gentle reassurance, I felt completely comfortable and confident in her care.

Even after being reassigned during her shift, she came back one last time to check on me and make sure everything went well. She even shared adorable photos of her pets, which meant so much to me and helped calm my nerves more than she probably realized.

Her compassion, skill, and genuine kindness made a difficult experience so much more manageable, and I will never forget the care she showed me. If anyone deserves a DAISY Award, it’s this wonderful lady!
