From the very first day we met Anita, we knew she was an exceptional nurse. It was such a blessing that she speaks Spanish, my son’s first language. Because of this, he felt seen, understood, and comfortable without needing me to translate for him. Anita’s ability to communicate directly with him made all the difference and brought him so much comfort during his hospital stay.

Anita consistently went above and beyond to make our experience more positive. One moment that stands out was when my son needed to go to Radiology for an MRI. Every other time, he had been transported in his bed, but this time he asked if he could go in his wheelchair instead. Anita listened to him and made it happen. That simple act meant the world to him. It made the trip less intimidating and gave him a sense of control and joy during a stressful moment.

Anita also connected with my son in the most thoughtful ways. He loves music, and whenever she came in to do his cares, she would sing and dance with him. Even on days when she wasn’t assigned to our room, she would greet us with a warm smile in the hallway and take a moment to talk with him. Those little gestures made a big impact; my son absolutely adored her.

Anita’s compassion, kindness, and genuine care made our hospital stay feel less like a hospital and more like a safe, caring place. She treated us like family, and for that, we will always be grateful.
