I am writing to nominate Jasity for the DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care and compassion she provided to our family during my mother-in-law’s time in hospice on the fifth floor at MCH over the last couple of days. During a difficult time in our lives, Jasity showed an incredible level of warmth, attentiveness, and empathy. She not only cared for my mother-in-law with dignity and respect but also offered our family unwavering support, comfort, and clear communication. Every time we called for her, she arrived promptly, answered our questions with patience and thoughtfulness, and addressed any medical needs for the patient. Losing a loved one is an emotional and challenging experience, but having a nurse like Jasity made all the difference. Her kindness and dedication were evident in everything she did, and it was clear that she truly has a heart for her patients and their families. As I told her on the night of my mother-in-law’s passing, it was a blessing to have her by our side through the entire process. Jasity exemplifies what it means to be an extraordinary nurse, and I wholeheartedly believe she deserves this recognition. Her compassion and commitment go above and beyond, and she is truly an asset to MCH.
