I would like to nominate Lisa Renfro for the DAISY Award. Lisa has been a dedicated member of UMC for 28 years and consistently demonstrates an unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care. She has played a key role in developing and improving policies, always advocating for patients by identifying quality issues and proactively proposing meaningful changes. Lisa also played an important role in supporting the ambulatory department during the Magnet visit, including adjusting her schedule as needed to ensure readiness and success. She also served as a greeter and concierge for one of the Magnet appraisers during the Magnet site visit this past November. She is known for her calm, thoughtful, and effective approach to managing complex situations, addressing concerns with professionalism and compassion. Her experience, leadership, and genuine dedication to patients and colleagues make her an exemplar of this recognition. Lisa has also served on the Hospital Staffing Council for over 8 years. She has excellent leadership skills. She is the Centennial Quick Care Charge Nurse and is always ready to assist her coworkers. She embodies compassion and nursing excellence.
