She was kind and compassionate, but also made sure my dad did what was needed to heal.
I am a nursing student completing half of my capstone at Mercy Rogers ICU. I went in with doubt and questioned whether or not I was even capable of being a nurse. Claire continues to meet her patients and me right where we are. Claire cares profoundly for her patients. She brings light into dark times in everyone’s lives. It’s an honor to learn from her and who she is. She has made me feel capable and worthy of being a nurse. I will be able to care for my future patients because of the incredible nurse Claire is. She has impacted far more lives than I think anyone could count, including mine. She is intelligent, funny, and kind, with a beautiful heart. I am the luckiest because I get to learn how to be a nurse from Claire. She goes above and beyond for all of her patients. She sees them for who they are and never judges them. No one feels lucky to be in an ICU, but every patient, student, and coworker feels incredibly lucky to have Claire.

She is a wonderful, caring nurse. She is completely devoted to her job. She is joyous and full of bubbly energy that flows out of her so graciously. She is kind in her caregiving nursing skills. She is very educated at doing her job. She also has a very beautiful, pleasant smile that just lifted me up, picked up my spirits, and gave me joy and happiness. I trust her because she loves God, and it shows in the compassion she brings to her job.

Claire was the very best. She was kind and compassionate, but also made sure my dad did what was needed to heal. My dad felt heard, and Claire was very patient with him - even when it was hard. Clarie was able to match his sense of humor and even made him laugh - which isn't easy! After he was moved to the PCU, she even came to check on him. She goes above and beyond for her patients.
