Amber goes far above and beyond the duties of a nurse. This job is not just a job for her; it is a true calling.
I am an 80-year-old retired teacher who fell and broke my femur this year. When I came to the hospital, everybody here was wonderful. The hospital rotated different nurses day by day, but I ended up with Amber more than once.
She has had the most pleasant personality. She makes you smile. She is extra attentive. She has had to do some things for me that I would not want to do for anybody, but she never complains. She is always cheerful. She makes sure that I am not in any pain. If I do not ask for pain medicine, she will come in and say, “Do you think you need any pain meds?” She also reminds me, before they try to move me or get me up, that maybe I need to take a little pain medication.
Amber goes far above and beyond the duties of a nurse. This job is not just a job for her; it is a true calling. I am forever grateful, and I have told her that I have been in the hospital a few times in my life. I have had 10 major surgeries, and she has been the nicest, most helpful, most sincere, most medically attentive, and expertly proficient nurse that I have ever had.
She deserves not just a pat on the back or a thank you. She truly deserves this DAISY Award.
***
Amber is very caring and attentive. You can tell that she really cares about her patients and that her heart is in what she does. She thinks of everything without having to be asked and makes sure our family is also comfortable and does not need anything at all.
She keeps us updated and checks in often. She has taken care of my grandma better than I could have asked for. My grandma is not going to make it much longer, and Amber has made this hospital stay the best stay yet. I only wish we had had her every day.
You always see a smile on her face, and it is comforting. This girl deserves all the awards.
