Priscilla truly embodies what it means to provide compassionate, patient -centered care.
Priscilla explains each and every medicine that she administered to me very clearly. Priscilla puts my needs and concerns as a priority first. She is very polite and listens to any issues you are experiencing.
She consistently goes above and beyond to ensure my well-being. Her dedication to her job is extraordinary. I just appreciate her first as a caring nurse and second as a person.
Overall, the staff at this ICU unit is very helpful and has a genuine work ethic.

Priscilla, the one with the blue gown, is the one who gave vital information and instructions to help her while here at Inova. She made sure that the right amount of food was given in the feeding tube, showing how and what I must do for the transfer home for care.
She was also a great inspiration in encouraging her and making sure she was comfortable if she needed anything. Priscilla would give medical advice on what is good by following the doctor’s orders for her recovery.

I was with my mom during this day, and it was looking like a very grim day with her lack of oxygen, the constant tremors, and her inability to stay still. I really thought, ‘please don’t die’ to myself, watching everything unfold.
Priscilla told me that she is going to do her best to stabilize her, and she did. Priscilla was in constant communication with my mom’s hospital doctors, asking for orders to be approved.
I was happy at the end of the day to see how much of a 360 was made; they managed to stabilize everything that was looking critical. I was amazed at the dedication. She really did not want her to remain critical, using an ultrasound to find an appropriate vein for an IV.

I would like to recognize Nurse Priscilla for the exceptional care and compassion she provided my mom. During a very overwhelming and uncertain time for our family, Priscilla demonstrated extreme kindness and patience to us.
Priscilla went above and beyond to advocate for my mom despite difficult family members who were very concerned. She stated very early in her shift, "I will advocate for your mom just like I would for my own mom." These words meant a lot to me, and she stayed true to this statement.
She demonstrated genuine concern for my mom’s well-being. She advocated for her to ensure her safe transfer to another hospital to get the care she needed due to insurance issues.
I really appreciate her care for my mom and her patience with our family. Priscilla truly embodies what it means to provide compassionate, patient -centered care.
