I would like to recognize Olivia Williams for the extraordinary compassion, dedication, and advocacy she has shown while helping my mother begin treatment for cancer.

Before my mother was even an established patient with the oncology group, Olivia demonstrated what truly patient-centered care looks like. I walked into her office unannounced, overwhelmed and unsure where to turn after my mom's recent diagnosis. Even though I had arrived without an appointment and she had her own responsibilities and schedule to manage, she never once made me feel like I was interrupting her day.
Instead, she sat down with me as if she had all the time in the world.

She listened to our story, looked up the details of my mother's situation, contacted her provider, and worked behind the scenes to help secure my mom an appointment that same day. In a moment that felt frightening and uncertain for our family, Olivia became a calm, compassionate presence. She didn't just help coordinate care-she connected with me on a human level. She cried with me as we talked about the weight of my mom's diagnosis. That moment of shared compassion is something I will never forget.

Since that first interaction, Olivia has continued to go above and beyond for my mother and our family. She regularly follows up with me to answer questions, clarify information, and make sure we understand the next steps in my mom's care. When socioeconomic challenges have come up, she has taken the time to guide us toward the right people and resources rather than simply pointing us in a direction.

What makes Olivia so exceptional is the way she brings humanity and warmth into every interaction. She has a respectful and relatable energy that immediately puts people at ease. Her caring demeanor makes difficult conversations feel manageable, and she treats every concern, no matter how small, with patience and kindness.

She is also an incredible advocate behind the scenes. Olivia never hesitates to reach out to other providers or departments to ensure we receive quick, accurate answers. She goes out of her way to help navigate a complicated healthcare system so that families like ours don't have to do it alone.

During one of the most stressful and emotional times in our lives, Olivia has been a steady, compassionate presence. Her actions reflect the very best of nursing clinical expertise paired with genuine empathy, advocacy, and dedication.
