Kelsey is an amazing nurse. She is the picture of what compassionate patient-centered care looks like. She created a calm, peaceful environment during a very difficult and critical time in my mother's life. Kelsey was attentive to everything my mother needed. She came to check on her at least every hour, sometimes more. She cared for my entire family as we visited with my mother. She was collaborative and advocated for my mother's wishes and concerns. Kelsey learned all of our names in the short time she cared for Mom and took the time to understand our questions and concerns to ensure she got them answered and addressed. Kelsey took the time to get Mom up and walk outside in the ICU courtyard so she could briefly get some fresh air and sun. This small act gave Mom renewed strength and, more importantly, joy to push through. I can't say enough about the care Kelsey delivered, just that she is the picture of the ideal nurse. We were abundantly blessed to get to know her and have her care for Mom. She is what DAISY is all about!
