It is with the utmost admiration and respect that we nominate Joni Berry for the DAISY Nurse Leader award. Since beginning her career, Joni has dedicated her life to the care of others, embodying the spirit of nursing through clinical excellence, leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to her team, her patients, and the hospital as a whole.
Joni began her journey as a bedside nurse and has grown into her current role, never losing sight of what it means to serve on the front lines of patient care. Her wealth of clinical experience is matched only by her deep understanding of hospital operations and logistics. She is instrumental in the seamless functioning of our hospital—collaborating with physicians, department leaders, and administrative teams to ensure that care delivery remains efficient, responsive, and of the highest quality.
A natural mentor, Joni has helped shape the next generation of healthcare leaders by offering peer mentorship and guidance to new managers across departments. Her insight and support are trusted and sought after, and her influence is felt far beyond the walls of her unit.
