My son is autistic and epileptic. He unfortunately has been in and out of the ER or inpatient stays since he was 6 months old. He has severe seizures that, a lot of times, turn into status seizures.

Ashley Madden was his nurse the past two times he has been to the ER, and she was perfect. I felt she treated us like family and was so sweet. To say she was fantastic doesn't even begin to cover how much she helped us both. She went above and beyond her call of duty to help my son and is the best nurse I have ever come in contact with.

I have been here two times to thank her, and my son wanted to talk to her, but she wasn't on duty. She is just fabulous.

My sister's heart had stopped, and the hospital was very busy. Ashley stayed past her shift to ensure that staffing was not too short and provided adequate care to my sister. She was never too busy to communicate what was going on with my sister's care, what to expect next, and how to navigate such a difficult time. She saved my sister's life, and I am forever grateful.

Ashley demonstrated dedication, compassion, and commitment to her patients, and I feel as though she deserves to be recognized.
