He is not only an outstanding Nurse Manager, but also a true example of compassionate and effective leadership.
Johnathan has been an exceptional Nurse Manager who consistently demonstrates dedication to both staff and patients. On numerous occasions, he has gone above and beyond to ensure the needs of the unit are met.

He frequently picks up additional shifts to work on the floor as a nurse in order to fill scheduling gaps and support his team. His commitment to patient care is evident in actions such as locating a homeless patient’s personal wheelchair in the community to ensure safe mobility, as well as volunteering to obtain medications outside of the hospital to ensure a patient had access to necessary treatment during their inpatient stay.

Johnathan remains steadfast in upholding the highest standards of safety within the unit. He proactively anticipates DNV recommendations, researches opportunities to improve unit safety, and collaborates with staff to implement meaningful improvements, fostering both engagement and accountability.

Equally important, Johnathan genuinely cares about his team. He encourages staff to reach their full potential, including supporting nurses in obtaining psychiatric certifications to enhance their knowledge and better serve our community. He consistently demonstrates empathy while maintaining professionalism, regularly checking in on staff members who are injured, recovering from procedures, or facing personal challenges.

In one instance, when a nurse delivered a baby earlier than expected and lacked essential supplies, Johnathan personally purchased diapers using his own money to support the staff member during that time.

Johnathan works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that our unit not only operates effectively but continues to thrive. He is not only an outstanding Nurse Manager, but also a true example of compassionate and effective leadership.

We are deeply grateful for his continued efforts in making the unit the best it can be for both our staff and the patients we serve.
