I’m so grateful I was able to meet Juliet, and I’m so glad she will continue to touch the lives of thousands more patients in need.
I was very unexpectedly admitted to the hospital for suicidal ideation/a depressive episode. I was visiting from out of town and, because of the snowstorm, couldn’t make it to the VA. As a military veteran, I was very uncomfortable going to a civilian hospital, but Juliet made me feel so comfortable in a scary situation. She treated me normally, yet with such unbelievable compassion and understanding.
Despite working unbelievably long hours and attending NP school, Juliet made time for me each night to talk about what I can do differently when I leave the hospital. I felt like I could talk to Juliet as a friend (who also happened to be a mental health expert, what luck!), which in retrospect was exactly what I needed. Juliet is the warmest professional I’ve ever interacted with, and the “pump up” speech she gave me at the end of a ~15-hour shift in a blizzard will genuinely stick with me forever. I’m so grateful I was able to meet Juliet, and I’m so glad she will continue to touch the lives of thousands more patients in need. Thank you, Juliet!
