Angie Swenson is an exceptional nurse leader whose dedication, presence, and heart make a profound impact on our clinic every single day. She is someone you can always count on, often putting the needs of others ahead of her own, because she genuinely cares about the well-being and success of every employee and every patient who walks through our doors.

A perfect example of Angie’s commitment came during our move to Sauk Crossing. She spent the entire weekend and many late nights making sure the transition was seamless. Her focus was never on how much work it required, but on ensuring our staff and providers had everything they needed to serve patients safely and efficiently on day one. Her energy, positivity, and determination throughout that process kept the team grounded and motivated, and it set the tone for a successful opening.

Angie’s leadership extends far beyond logistics. She brings an incredible sense of calm, empathy, and intuition to patient interactions. Recently, I was able to witness Angie take control of a very challenging situation when a patient leaving an appointment became significantly emotionally distressed. Angie immediately stepped in with calm, steady leadership. She gently connected with the patient and quickly implemented privacy measures to ensure the patient’s dignity was protected, shielding her from the view of other patients and guests. Angie guided the patient away from the public area and worked closely with the patient's accompanying staff members to help safely support her out of the building. The patient's staff were incredibly grateful for how smoothly and compassionately Angie handled the situation. Watching her de-escalate such an intense moment with confidence, respect, and genuine care was a powerful reminder of the exceptional skill and heart she brings to her role.

Angie consistently shows a willingness to jump in wherever she’s needed, no matter the task, no matter who asks. She collaborates naturally with every department, and many teams across the organization lean on her because they trust her judgment, her follow-through, and her ability to lead with grace under pressure.
