I was seen in the emergency department and needed a refill on my medication since I could not get into my dermatologist's office. I always used the same pharmacy. When I was in the department, the provider sent the medication to a different pharmacy. When I went to pick up my medication, they told me I had to pay $1,000 for the medication. I could not afford the medication, and I was upset and did not know what to do, so I called the emergency department for advice. When I called the emergency department, I spoke to Tara, RN, who treated me with respect and kindness. Tara listened to my concerns, went out of her way to personally call other pharmacies to find a cheaper option, and had the prescription transferred to Value Rx, where the medication was cheaper. I am a 77-year-old woman, and it has been many, many years since someone treated me so special, listened to my concerns, and went out of their way to help me. Tara was an absolute blessing and an angel for taking the time out of her busy day to help me access my medication.
