Pawnee Valley Community Hospital is proud to recognize Tianna Farris, RN, on the acute care floor, as this year’s DAISY Award recipient.

Tianna was nominated after a meaningful moment was witnessed and shared. As someone walked down the hall, they heard Tianna’s calm, reassuring voice coming from a patient’s room. Inside, an elderly patient who was confused and upset was crying. Tianna sat with the patient, offering comfort and reassurance while painting their fingernails. As the interaction continued, the patient visibly relaxed, calmed, and thanked Tianna for her kindness. This moment is a powerful example of the empathy and compassion Tianna brings to her patients every day. Her commitment to caring for others goes beyond clinical skill and truly reflects the heart of nursing.
