LaDonna is a go-getter and genuinely cares about her patients. She was seeing a regular patient of hers for an injection visit, and the patient mentioned that she had some discomfort in her chest. Some staff would have overlooked it because it was mild and not described as "pain", but not LaDonna. She consulted with her RN, then booked the patient with a provider to ensure the patient got the care she needed. The patient was then sent to the emergency room via ambulance, and it turned out she was having a cardiac event. I truly believe that LaDonna saved this patient's life. 

LaDonna is so knowledgeable and does her job so efficiently. Team members often go to her for questions on procedures. She keeps policies and procedures very organized, so she always knows where to find the answer. 

This is a kudos from Mindy Facey, the program manager for VC3. "A member came in for a nurse visit with a blood pressure of 170/100 because he had been out of his blood pressure medications for 2-3 months.  Ladonna connected the patient with a VC3 provider and also messaged the provider separately (I don’t know the content).  The provider was able to help him get back on his medications.  Per the provider:  “It was a good call on the nurse's part to ask for us to step in and get him going!” and she provided kudos in the chat to Ladonna. 

The provider also said,  “It's an example of what good we can really do with virtual care!”

LaDonna is the type of nurse we should all strive to be. We are so proud of you, LaDonna, and are so thankful that you are a part of our team.
