I would like to recognize an incredible ICU nurse, Danielle, who went above and beyond not just in her clinical care, but also in her compassion and communication during a very difficult time for our family.

From the moment I stepped into my good friend’s room, I knew my friend was being well cared for. Danielle took the time to sit with us, with no rush or distractions, even just to talk about chickens. She explained everything that was happening in ways that we could understand, patiently walking us through what to expect. In such a high-stress environment, she brought a sense of calm, clarity, and empathy that made a world of difference.

Danielle’s presence was more than medical—it was human. She saw us as not just family members of a patient, but as people who were scared, overwhelmed, and grieving. That kind of care cannot be taught—it comes from the heart. We will never forget her kindness, calm voice, and the dignity she gave to us and our loved one.
