She is a true problem solver and a dependable colleague who delivers high-quality work quickly and with remarkable attention to detail.
I am honored to nominate this exceptional Nurse Educator for the Extraordinary Nurse Educator Award. Her consistent dedication, innovation, and unwavering commitment to exemplary patient care and professional development make her an invaluable asset to our organization. This Nurse Educator routinely goes above and beyond her defined role—stepping in wherever support is needed, regardless of unit or specialty. She is a true problem solver and a dependable colleague who delivers high-quality work quickly and with remarkable attention to detail. Her educational materials are consistently visually appealing, clear, and highly effective.

When I recently needed a tip sheet for a unit outside her area, she eagerly created a resource that was both user-friendly and system-wide applicable. Within days, I received a polished document that immediately enhanced staff understanding and workflow. Her proactive approach to communication and interdisciplinary collaboration is equally impressive. Just last week, after learning from a physician about an upcoming new endoscopy procedure, she promptly reached out to the receiving unit’s leadership and educator. She provided them with resources, a training video, and an offer of assistance, ensuring the team was fully prepared well before the change reached the floor.

She has also demonstrated significant leadership and innovation in competency development. She created a progressive, unit-based competency orientation model that has since been adopted by multiple departments across the hospital, enhancing onboarding consistency and staff confidence. Her work with the Shared Leadership Committee further reflects her evidence-based approach and passion for improving patient outcomes. She spearheaded a mobility project informed by physician input and built a comprehensive program that included visual cues, tip sheets, and educational resources for staff and patients. She recently secured approval for analytics reporting that will capture measurable outcomes of this initiative. This project not only represents an outstanding future Magnet story but will also meaningfully improve patient health and reduce length of stay.

Beyond her impressive accomplishments, she is deeply respected and beloved by her unit staff and by the educator team across the hospital. Her exceptional teaching skills, collaborative spirit, and contagious enthusiasm for providing the highest-quality care set her apart as a true leader and role model. For her dedication, creativity, leadership, and profound impact on patient care and staff development, she is truly deserving of recognition as an Extraordinary Nurse Educator.
