Jodel has been a nurse leader in primary care at St. Charles for the past 4 years. She is the nurse manager for 7 locations across Central Oregon. I believe that Jodel has never met a problem too big to solve - she is creative and kindly challenges everyone around her to think outside of the box to get the job done.

She works closely with her nurse supervisors to make them feel supported and heard, not only as nurses and leaders but also as people outside their roles. She advocates for healthy boundaries and self-care, encouraging her leaders to avoid burnout.

She also has an unmatched drive for clinical excellence. Jodel sets strong goals for her teams and encourages them along the way.

Her desire to leave a legacy and empower her fellow nurse leaders is admirable. She continues to grow and develop, knowing she is a lifelong learner and encouraging others to do the same.

I cannot think of a better person to nominate for the DAISY Nurse Leader Award than Jodel!
