For the past 10 years, I have worked at this facility, and I have consistently witnessed Kara Berr go above and beyond the call of duty for the benefit of both the residents and the students. Her dedication has never been limited to her assigned responsibilities; she supports everyone around her. I have seen her care deeply for the students and step in to assist staff whenever needed, always with professionalism and compassion. For nearly two years, Kara voluntarily stepped up and assumed the responsibilities of the school nurse. During this time, she managed both her regular nursing duties and the additional workload of the supervising school nurse position. She did this without hesitation because she understood the need and knew she had the experience, skill, and knowledge to ensure continuity of care. Despite the increased demands, she continued to pick up shifts on the floor, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to the team and the individuals we serve. Throughout all of this, I have never once heard her complain. She simply did what needed to be done, always putting others' well-being first. Her work ethic has been admirable from the very beginning, and it has remained steady and strong throughout all these years. Kara is dedicated, reliable, and genuinely cares, making her an invaluable part of this facility, and her impact is felt by everyone who has the privilege of working with her.
