I would like to nominate Amy for the DAISY Award because of the compassion, attentiveness, and dedication she has shown to my significant other during his care. She was consistently kind, patient, and genuinely present. She never made us feel like “just another patient.” She took the time to explain everything clearly, answer every question thoroughly, and make sure we felt comfortable and informed. What truly sets her apart is how she goes the extra mile. She checked in frequently without being asked, noticed small changes before we even mentioned them, and advocated when something didn’t seem right. She made sure my significant other’s pain was managed, his concerns were heard, and his dignity was always preserved. Her attentiveness brought us peace of mind during a very stressful and emotional time. It’s clear that nursing is her calling. Because of her, we felt supported, cared for, and never alone. She made a difficult situation much easier to navigate, and for that we are deeply grateful.
