Emma is absolutely the most fantastic nurse. Recently, I had an 11-night stay for a total knee replacement. Emma was my nurse for some of my stay. Emma routinely made me feel very welcome and truly cared for my health and stay. The day of my surgery, my wife and daughter were waiting in the surgery waiting room. While no one updated them on my condition during my surgery, they finally went back to my hospital room and were met in the hall by Emma. She updated my family on my situation, and I was given the absolute best care.

A couple of times, my breathing had stopped, or I had low oxygen levels. Emma helped keep my family calm and assured them that it was just because of my sleep apnea, and everything was fine. The next day, while I was still recovering from the anesthesia, Emma made sure that all my needs were met and provided outstanding care. Emma exemplified "The Healer's Touch" by providing the best care anyone could ask for. Her actions while providing care for me on more than a couple of shifts are what set her above the rest. Her nursing and caring skills reflect greatly on herself, the staff of the 2nd floor, and Essentia Health. I do not think I could have had a better stay in the hospital because of her care and support.
