Becca’s ability to combine professionalism with true empathy is something that stands out.
We recently had to visit the ER for a relatively minor issue with my son, but because he has a complex medical history that we are still trying to manage, any hospital visit can be extremely stressful for him.
Years of difficult medical experiences have left him with significant anxiety around hospitals and ER visits. Our nurse, Becca, made an incredible difference in what could have easily been a very unwelcoming experience for him. From the moment she came in, she was calm, kind, and reassuring. She quickly recognized his anxiety and took the time to connect with him in a way that made him feel safe and respected.
My son can sometimes be a tough person to build an easy rapport with, especially in medical settings, but Becca handled it with genuine warmth and patience. She explained things clearly, treated him with dignity, and never made him feel rushed or dismissed. Because of her approach, he was able to relax and trust the care he was receiving.
For families dealing with complicated medical histories, compassionate care makes all the difference. Becca’s ability to combine professionalism with true empathy is something that stands out. She turned what is usually a very stressful situation for our family into a much more manageable experience. We are incredibly grateful for the care she provided and hope the hospital knows what a valuable member of their team she is.
