I told the doctor that Jobelle was a lifesaver overnight, irrigating every hour.
I arrived on 5K after 14-15 hours in the ER due to retaining urine and bad bleeding clots. I had to have three different-sized catheters placed, and they were all getting plugged. It had to be irrigated to work the clots through. Through the night and morning, Jobelle was a special angel or shining star. She talked me through everything that was going on with the urine retention. She was calm and reassured me while she irrigated my catheter. She would finally get the catheter cleared, but it would only last 15 minutes, and she would have to start all over again. Due to the continuous catheter, she was also recording my output as she emptied the bag. When the urologist came in, he tried to irrigate my catheter for a couple of minutes. He asked Jobelle to change out the catheter, and afterwards, he returned to irrigate it again. Again, after trying a couple of minutes, he stated that he would get me into surgery to flush my bladder. I told the doctor that Jobelle was a lifesaver overnight, irrigating every hour. I told him that sometimes she was in my room for over an hour working. Jobelle is so sweet and definitely a great nurse. I had a great stay, with everyone helping me throughout, but Jobelle stands out above the rest.
