He is genuinely one of the kindest-hearted people I have come across. He always gives more than he needs to. He exceeds your expectations.
My mum had leukemia, and Lino was our nurse through the CAR T therapy. From the moment we met Lino, he was the most supportive and informative health care professional we have met. He always made time for our questions, explaining everything in layman's terms so we understood.
Every time he saw us in a waiting area, he came over to see how Mum was, always with a big smile and positive attitude. Despite the very difficult time we were going through, we always felt better after seeing Lino. He took a genuine interest and care in mum's wellbeing, always thoroughly answered my questions when I emailed him time and time again.
Lino always goes above and beyond his duty. As he once accompanied Mum to a blood test because she was nervous, he overheard another patient asking the nurse for a banana because she had not eaten all morning. The nurse in question was too busy to assist her. This patient wasn't Linos ' patient; however, he excused himself and went off to search for a banana!
He is genuinely one of the kindest-hearted people I have come across. He always gives more than he needs to. He exceeds your expectations. He has made a very painful journey that is much easier for us. Any patient who is looked after by Lino can count themselves very, very lucky. We are blessed to have him as our nurse. I often find Lino is still running around the hospital working, long after his contractual working hours are over; he doesn't even stop for lunch.
Lino must be formally recognised for his spectacular work; he’s an angel in disguise
