She was more than just a nurse; she gave me the best support and compassion, making me believe my grandma sent me an angel when I needed it most.
Nurse Kathleen came on shift while I was still in the ER awaiting a room to be admitted. As soon as she walked in, I felt safe, cared for, and seen. She acknowledged my pain and fear, making sure I was heard.

She was more than just a nurse; she gave me the best support and compassion, making me believe my grandma sent me an angel when I needed it most. She held my hand through everything, talking to me through any anxiety I had, making sure I knew she was there.

Not only did she help me in the ER, but she even went out of her way to visit me on my floor before she left. Although she had to leave before seeing me that night, she was here the next morning, assigned to my floor.

While I had the pleasure of having her care for me that day, she always made sure I was okay, not only physically but also mentally, making sure to ease my anxiety. She heard me out and made such caring accommodations.

Before ending her shift, she promised she would be the one to change my bandages, so I was not nervous and stayed later to assure a proper goodbye. Despite being strangers, we shared a powerful hug and thanked each other.

I will never, ever forget Nurse Kathleen. She made my not-so-pleasant stay very comforting and more enjoyable. Her compassion was felt way more than any pain I endured.
