I would like to nominate Stainey Thomas, RN, for the DAISY Award in recognition of her exceptional dedication, compassion, and commitment to providing extraordinary nursing care. She consistently goes above and beyond in every role she fulfills-whether working as a float nurse, serving as a charge nurse, or stepping in as wound care facilitator. When she serves as a wound care facilitator, she is very thorough and detail-oriented, and residents truly love her. One resident commended her, stating that when Stainey does his dressing, she puts him at ease, takes time to explain and educate him about his wounds, and takes time to listen to him. The resident stated, I feel valued and respected with her warm and calm demeanor. She doesn’t rush through her interaction – she truly connects with him. The resident further stated that Stainey's professionalism and calm presence made a lasting impact on him. Stainey is not just a nurse – she is an extraordinary one, and she truly deserves the DAISY Award.
