I was in the ER for 6 hours last Sunday with an undiagnosed kidney infection that had started to spread to my blood, which the urgent care didn't diagnose. Not once did Mariah Spies forget about me. She stayed on top of everything, making sure I had water to drink and warm blankets. Mariah was able to place my IV on the first try, which never happens, and answered all my questions.

With as delirious as I was, Mariah held my hand and helped me figure out the best course of action. She advocated for them to do a CT scan to figure out where the infection was coming from and helped me calm down when I got scared and talked me through everything she was doing, from the X-ray to the 3 bags of fluid to the magnesium fluids to the IV antibiotics to the CT scan and why she needed to do certain things.

She called the next day to check in on me, which was greatly appreciated. She helped distract me through the IV fluids and through the confusion, and was such a sweetheart. I was so scared and upset, and she helped me calm my fears and talked me through everything.
