She connected me to important resources, encouraged me to keep pumping when I felt discouraged, and even made sure I had access to a pump while I was in the NICU.
I recently gave birth to my fifth baby, but my first premature baby, following a very traumatic delivery that resulted in an emergency C-section. Walking into the NICU for the first time, I felt overwhelmed, scared, and completely unsure of what to do next.

My daughter’s nurse made all the difference from the very beginning. Rosette was incredibly patient and compassionate, taking the time to guide me through everything I didn’t know. She connected me to important resources, encouraged me to keep pumping when I felt discouraged, and even made sure I had access to a pump while I was in the NICU. She also signed me up for the discharge class, helping me feel more prepared and less lost during such an uncertain time.

What stood out most was how she made me feel. In a moment where I felt vulnerable and afraid, she made me feel seen, heard, and supported. Rosette welcomed me with kindness, made me feel comfortable asking questions, and truly treated me like family.

Because of her, a scared NICU mom didn’t feel quite so scared anymore. Her care and compassion are something I will never forget, and I will always be grateful for the role she played during one of the hardest moments of my life.
