On a busy Wednesday, my case-management day, there was a difficult patient who showed an increased anxiety level and had a lot of questions to ask about the new medication. While I understood his personality and situation, I was unable to spend much time due to other patients waiting and workflow constraints.

Jessica noticed the situation and asked me if she could offer any help. She sat down with the patient in the room and answered all the questions that provided comfort and reduced the patient's anxiety level. Additionally, my workflow for seeing other patients with the doctor went smoothly, thanks to her support. 

Jessica is a great nurse leader in the wound care center, demonstrating compassion as a team leader and dedication to patient care. Her interprofessional collaboration to solve issues is excellent and brings a positive vibe to the workplace. Furthermore, she shows great empathy toward staff and colleagues, which has a significant impact on her team. One last thing, she brings good food to share!
