Kierstyn knew something wasn’t right, and she pushed until my daughter’s providers sent her to the ED.
On Monday, my daughter had an appointment for IVIG, and Kierstyn was her nurse. They couldn’t draw blood that morning because my daughter had a new port and the old port site was still messy, so they sent her to the infusion clinic. Kierstyn was kind and professional, but as you watched her work, you knew that she had it together. She tried to pull my daughter's blood, and it was thick like pudding. She was determined and said this was not normal. Your Mom-Spidy sense goes up when you hear something that's not normal. Kierstyn not only got blood but also gave my daughter her IVIG as she was reaching out to my daughter's providers to let them know what was going on. Kierstyn sent us to the ED, and the CT found a large clot in my daughter’s right lung and a small clot in her left. Kierstyn got my daughter the help she needed, and she is getting better. Kierstyn knew something wasn’t right, and she pushed until my daughter’s providers sent her to the ED. Kierstyn saw there was a problem and not only spoke out, but she also pressed until my daughter got the care she needed. Thank you, Kierstyn.
