My husband had a doctor's appointment yesterday at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, and he spent almost the entire appointment time crying and not speaking due to a lot of recent hardships in his life. The minute Ashley came in the room, I could tell she was truly concerned about him. She didn't try to just be in and out like our experiences with most nurses have been. For the first part of the visit, she brought us tissues and let us know we could take our time to talk and get situated before the doctor came in, and if we needed her, she would be in the hallway, as she wanted to give us our space.

After seeing the doctor, Ashley came back in the room and sat with us for an extra 15 to 20 minutes, and I will never forget the care and compassion it takes to truly put the patient first even when you have 100 other patients to get to. She gave A++ care to us yesterday. The care and compassion it takes to sit in a very uncomfortable situation and turn it completely around can't even be described. The amount of positivity and energy she put into us would never be forgotten. She congratulated my husband on his new sobriety, gave us resources for mental health care, and also commended me on being his main support system and doing a good job at it.

Everything she said was what we needed to hear. It was exactly what we needed at that exact moment. I am forever thankful for Ashley and taking the time to truly care. Mayo Clinic is the best, and it shows in their staff. Thank you!
