All the nurses during Mom's stay were good to work with, but Kerri's professionalism, exceptional care, attention to family dynamics, reassuring manner, and giving of herself needed to be recognized.
My 78-year-old mom, who has had three strokes and is familiar with hospitals, was admitted to Banner due to falling and overall weakness.

By the time my mom was moved out of ICU, discharged for 48 hours, readmitted to PCU, and to the MS floor 6A  - she was so tired of being there and physically weak, black and blue from the tips of her fingers to the shoulders, and had a PIC in to be able to take the IV antibiotics.

When she was moved, we met Kerri, who was incredibly patient, spoke to mom with compassion and empathy. More importantly, she listened to and responded to everything Mom or I shared. She reached out to me many times with updates and included mom.

Kerri caught a very low BP for mom, called on her team to ensure monitoring throughout the night more frequently, and with the STAT nurse. Engaged the doctor and ultimately necessitated a change in meds. This, while DC orders were getting written for the next day!

Again, talking it through and taking the time with us and presenting with the right amount of information to ensure we understood.

All the nurses during Mom's stay were good to work with, but Kerri's professionalism, exceptional care, attention to family dynamics, reassuring manner, and giving of herself needed to be recognized.

My mama is leaving the hospital for rehab soon and will forever remember Kerri and the care she received.

Kerri is an exceptional giver of care!

Thank you.
