My dad was a patient at Immanuel. He has had many traumatic experiences in hospitals and often gets hospital delirium, which makes him a difficult, often violent patient. Over the last few years he has never successfully stayed at the hospital until discharge until this stay and we met Caitlin.

Cailtin was so patient and empathetic. During one of his meltdowns she helped him to recover. He had complete care and was relatively calm during the entire stay. I know that the difference this time was Caitlin. She was his day nurse during most of his stay and was exceptionally professional, and able to help him comply.

She said, "I just treat people how I'd want my dad or grandpa to be treated," and it really shows through her actions.

From the start Caitlin took measures to make sure that he was as comfortable as possible. She is flexible and considers more than one method to find a "fix". It seems to me she is able to draw a patient out, and learn something about the person. What a great nurse. Thank you.
