Catherine goes above and beyond to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
When first introductions were exchanged, I thought to myself, “Wow, she really is going to be one tough cookie.” It turns out I have found a true confidant, friend, and pillar for compassionate care while in K621. The time I spent in the K-unit was mainly under Catherine's watchful eye.
At any given time that questions or concerns of mine arose or came to mind, although I could tell she was taxingly attentive to all that was occurring on the floor, she would carefully use her time to assess, explain, and thoroughly address them. Multi-tasking? Vigilant? She was assiduous to detail, I should say “is”; yet even so, her compassion for my best possible outcome shone through. She even caught a mistake regarding the release/entry of the pre-auth for my insurance submission for IPR, which others had overlooked. This is why my paperwork stayed in “pending” status for such a long period.
My best interests were at heart, and I do believe that she is a superior individual who exemplifies grand leadership. I, personally, could write pages regarding examples or specifics, but I do nothing, it would do her justice. Catherine, you are an exemplary RN. Please keep doing what you do with a smile!
P.S. She loves what she does, and it shows with exuding respect for the guidelines and SOPs provided to her! She would be an asset to any team.

Catherine sets the bar high for an outstanding nurse. She has empathy and genuine concern for her patients’ well-being. It is very overwhelming to be in a hospital for an extended period, but Catherine can provide guidance and reassurance during difficult times. She treats her patients as a person. She takes the time to listen to her patients and is sensitive to their needs. Catherine goes above and beyond to ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.
