I have been a patient here for the past three weeks in the ICU and then in the 4 South unit. Many nurses cared for me during this very difficult time. My nominee’s care stood head and shoulders above what I expected. She made me laugh when I received dark news, remembered my family members' names, and asked me questions about my hobbies and personal interests. Always a smile, always a pleasant demeanor, and, in truth, helped me cope every day she was here. Asking about songs, movies, or video games. In addition, she made sure I was warm, would order food when I didn’t feel like eating, and proved that she cared about me as a patient and fellow human being. It’s obvious she is in her chosen element. This hospital is lucky to have an asset like her, and I’ll never forget the kindness, professionalism, and care she provided.
