Brenda consistently ties prior learning to new material, helping students see the bigger picture and develop critical thinking rather than rote recall.
Brenda Snow is a motivating, compassionate educator who brings out the best in every student. Her calm, respectful classroom atmosphere fosters confidence, resilience, and deeper clinical understanding.

During a challenging adult health unit, Brenda asked students to create concept maps from their own knowledge rather than notes. That exercise transformed anxiety into confidence as students discovered how much they already knew and learned to connect concepts across courses, turning content into usable clinical thinking.

Brenda consistently ties prior learning to new material, helping students see the bigger picture and develop critical thinking rather than rote recall. She patiently explains complex topics, explores the “why,” and models the professional qualities of confidence, integrity, and flexibility.

She goes above and beyond outside class, spending extra time to coach struggling students, offer study strategies, and build trust. Her genuine care, patience, and encouragement make students feel safe to ask questions and grow. For teaching that cultivates clinical judgment, resilience, and humanity, and for her unwavering personal investment in student success, Brenda Snow is a truly deserving DAISY honoree.
