I would like to recognize Alyssa W., my nurse, while I was here at HF West Bloomfield. This young lady went far above and beyond to help me. I came in with severe pain in my lower back, which radiated down my left leg. I couldn't even walk because of the pain.
This young lady showed concern and compassion. She was there to give my medicine on time, and I greatly appreciated it. She wrote down the times she would come to distribute my medication, which was very helpful.
If there was anything I needed, she was there. She has a pleasant attitude; she's kind and respectful—a far cry from how people act and treat one another in this day and time. I wish there were more people like Alyssa in the nursing field. She's efficient, demonstrating integrity by being a very reliable person and more.
Thank you, Alyssa, for all that you do.

I would like to nominate my nurse for the DAISY Award for the exceptional care she provided during the birth of my child.
From the moment she walked into my room, she made me feel truly supported, heard, and advocated for. She was incredibly knowledgeable and confident, which gave me such a sense of calm and trust during a vulnerable time.
I was in the hospital alone because my husband needed to be home with our small children, and she showed me so much empathy and compassion. She not only cared for me medically, but she nurtured me emotionally.
Her presence made all the difference in my experience. I will always be grateful for the kindness, strength, and advocacy she provided when I needed it most.

Alyssa made my postpartum recovery so amazing. She is the nicest, kindest nurse I have had, and we shared some good laughs as well! She is what every nurse should aspire to be.
