That evening, Michael appeared in my room at Premier. He told me he knew how precious this was to me and didn't want to take a chance it would disappear.
My care on the 5th Floor after my knee replacement was superb!
All your nurses and techs are kind, caring professionals. Michael took care of me for three days. I was medicated, so a little out of it. During my stay, he made sure I was comfortable. He gave me info regarding what to expect as the nerve block wore off. I appreciate being well informed and assured. He said I would receive all the pain meds, ice, etc. to keep me comfortable.
When my husband died in 2017, a family from church gave me a gold miraculous medal of the Blessed Mother. I put it on that day and never take it off. As time went on, I put my wedding band on the chain.
As you know, I had to remove it and put it in security. They sent it up from security on my discharge day. In the "to do" of getting me to the van, I forgot my medal. When I arrived at Premier, Michael called me. He said he would hold it at the nurses' desk. I told him I'd have a friend pick it up.
That evening, Michael appeared in my room at Premier. He told me he knew how precious this was to me and didn't want to take a chance it would disappear. Michael lives down near Marco. I was in Premier North. He went far out of his way to do this. He is obviously a nurse who cares for the whole person. Who knew caring for a patient goes beyond just their medical needs!
Thank you!
This is Michael's second DAISY Award!
