Today I had tears in my eyes as we discharged my son from Baker Hospital. These were tears of gratitude for the amazing care he received during his admission there. We were so beyond blessed to have Irene by our side through many difficult moments during my son's stay.

Her knowledge and experience were evident, but it was her huge heart and compassion that really drove it home for us every time a scary situation arose for my son. She was there for comfort and support, and huge hugs!

He celebrated his 24th Birthday there, and she requested Coke. Even if we passed one obstacle, waiting for the next steps, she came by very often just to check on him. Her time and caring meant so much to us!

Irene is not just an amazing RN, but clearly a wonderful person that NCH is so lucky to have! Thank you!!
