I was admitted for high blood pressure and COPD; Adelita was my nurse. I could not say how excellent she was! She explained what was going on with me and what she would do while she was in my room. She told me which meds she was administering, oral and IV, and their purpose. Asking me if I had any questions about them or anything.

She was professional! She was so very kind and gentle, and she had the best personality! You have to enjoy your job and honestly care about people to have the attitude and professionalism she does, and, trust me, as a patient, you can tell! I would trust her with my life, and that is the highest compliment I could give a nurse. It takes 18 to take care of a patient, and nurses don't get enough recognition.

She also did little things for me, like getting me a cup of coffee, or straightening my bed, and always checking on my ice water, knowing and remembering I drink a lot of water.

She also cleared my bedside table for me. It's not only the bag, but really little things that she goes above and beyond duty. And don't get me started on her great personality. I so enjoyed watching her walk through my door! She felt like a friend and family to me. She is so sweet professional and kind.
