I am honored to nominate Aly, RN, for the NSUH DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary care she has provided to my husband during his stay in the Critical Care Unit. Aly consistently delivers a remarkable patient experience and truly embodies what it means to provide extraordinary compassionate care. Every day, she exceeds expectations through her attentiveness, her intuition, and her unwavering commitment to her patients. Aly honors the human spirit with dignity and respect, treating my husband not just as a patient, but as a whole person navigating an incredibly challenging time. She has an incredible ability to anticipate his needs, even before we voice them, and she approaches each moment with empathy, patience, and professionalism.

Witnessing my husband's serious health struggles has been overwhelming and emotionally draining. Yet, Aly has been a steady source of comfort. She not only cares for him with exceptional skill, but she also supports me as a family member, easing my fears and helping me feel at peace knowing he is in the best hands. This has become especially important as I prepare to return to work after spending nearly every day and night by his side for a month. Aly's presence allows me to step away with confidence rather than worry. Aly is a true role model of excellence and teamwork. She collaborates seamlessly with other team members and goes above and beyond to ensure that both patients and families receive care that exceeds expectations. She brings humanity, respect, and reassurance into every interaction.

I truly wish that every time Aly works the day shift, she could be my husband's nurse. The level of care, dedication, and heartfelt commitment she demonstrates is rare and deeply appreciated.
